I feel that minimal stats is better when rolling loot, so you dont get a lot of statistical redundancy, so maybe these four should be combined into a general Kickboxing stat. I would like to see this stat show a visual silencer on the weapon and change the firing sound slightly, and I would like an overhaul of stealth in general, which I will outline later. I believe that a more aesthetically pleasing gun play experience is had when an SMG fires at a more grounded and realistic rate. I also feel that SMGs become outlandish when you build Attack Speed quite high, pumping the DPS to instakill levels in PVP and making the attack flurry incoherent, as a PVP main I feel obligated into this and my gun play feels awful because of it. I know this is an RPG, but I feel fire rate improvements on guns should be related to the gun itself and not player stats. It seems kind of silly that you can increase the fire rate of your guns by personal skill alone. If the developers insist on having stun in the game, then tweak it, perhaps keep it only on rifles in PVP. Whoever gets the stun off first instantly wins in most cases, and the smooth gunplay which should be the core of a competative mode is disrupted by a janky flailing animation which adds nothing positive to the gameplay experience.

Lots of stats is good, complexity of builds is good, but there are unfortunately a lot of problems.ДЄs it is now, I think stun should be removed from the game because it makes PVP broken and annoying. Here is a picture showing all the stats that currently exist in DF2. I think there is an unfortunate rot at the core of DF2s design that needs to be addressed. These are all welcome improvements that make the game more enjoyable and friendly to new players, but I don't think this is enough. Basic account storage size has been doubled, meaning players can hold onto more of their loot without selling it right away. Looting is more rewarding, so the main game loop of looting buildings is a bit more engaging. Ammo is more plentiful, so players aren't reduced to relying on the flawed melee system. There have been some updates since then, some of which alleviate this boredom and frustration. I do have specific criticisms of the game design, some important stuff to talk about, but ultimately even if all of that was fixed, there's still the problem with how people felt about the game experience at the time. This is undoubtedly affecting player retention.

I have really bad ADHD, so I don't mind the grind that much, it is good distraction for my noisy mind, but I can't imagine how these endless series of unrewarding rooms and disappointing boss runs is affecting the average player. Reviews at the time hit on a constant note, not enough to do, feels bland, grindy. It quickly became apparent that this wasn't a problem unique to my friends.

When the game came out, I tried to convince many of my friends to play it with me, and when they started playing I watched them transition from enthusiastic to bored to eventually giving up around level 7.
